Day138.
Still at work, 13 hours na ko dito.

Day137.
I'm back to work today. Snap back to reality, oh there goes gravity. I was not able to sleep well last night. Not sure if it's because of Sookie or it's the unfortunate anticipation of having to go back to work again. Life is just so good outside the test floor! Well, such is the life I have, endless buzzing of testers in the background, and sitting all day in the tester. And it's also raining today. Rainy days and Mondays. Hay.
I went to Keypoint at lunch today to do some refinancing and everything went well. I even am seriously thinking of closing my bank account at another bank because of some bad customer service that I got. I am definitely opening an account at Keypoint, just not sure about closing my other account since I have setup all my payments there.
My day went by quickly with a lot of work that I needed to catch up. See having a vacation is a bad thing, when you get back, the work is still there, and it just piled up. LOL.
I still have a little less than 100 pages of Sookie to read. So looking forward to it.

Day136.
I planned on just doing errands today before I go back to work tomorrow. However, sleepy me woke up at 12nn, and then started reading my new Sookie book, and before I knew it, it was already 3pm. I dragged myself out of my bed, and then started fixing stuff strewn in my living room. After unpacking yesterday, I left my stuff in the living room. So I started returning unused clothes back in the closet, started laundry, and what not. It started getting dark soon enough, but I pretty much got things done. I also started working on some paperwork, did accounting and worked on improving my finances. I have an appointment tomorrow at the bank, so I hope everything goes well.
While doing all of those stuff, I was so craving for some Quarter Pounder with Cheese. And for the life of me, I never craved for a Quarter Pounder! Oh well. I ended up going for a drive thru. I had it for dinner. Damn. Two burgers in one week. Hell, there goes my diet. I swear I should stop procrastinating. I need to go back to the gym.

Day135.
Say hello to my new speedy. It made it safe and sound home, after having decided to check it in.
After 2 weeks of being on the road, in hotel rooms and eating at restaurants, I am back home. So all I did today was sleep. I woke up at 10am today, just went to the bathroom, and then went back to sleep again. By the time I woke up again, it was already 2pm! Sarap! Bawing bawi na yung vacation ko. Pwede na ko ulit mag office.
So after waking up, the first thing that I did was take out my LV from its dust bag, unfolded it and took a picture. Love it really. Can't wait to wear it! It has a long strap, so I can wear it daily to work. I wonder what to wear it with? Hehe.
I went for a full body massage in the evening, as I had been having pains on my neck. Also, both feet had been really aching. The massage was so good!

Day134.
I have the biggest dilemma today. To check in or not to check in my new Speedy. I am also torn between wearing it or not. Geez, look at my problems!
I ended up packing it in the check in luggage, so I wont be with my Speedy in the flight. After packing, I checked out of the hotel and went to the last day of the conference. It was supposed to end at lunch. After getting into the auditorium at 8am, Tony told me that Sleeping Beauty aka Mike wanted to get a ride from me. I picked him up at the break with Vic. Good thing Vic came with me because I forgot my driver's license at my purse!
For lunch, we went to Thai Orchid, and then we all headed already to the airport. We sat for a bit at the pub by the gates, and then Mike and Tony went ahead with their 420pm flight, while Hy and I waited for our 625pm flight. Mike was supposed to wait for me at SMF and Easley will be picking us both up at the same time. I am back in California at 740pm, and it's still daylight. Easley and Emilyn picked us up, and they gave me a belated birthday gift! They gave me a small Coach hand purse. I am ecstatic! We went drive through at In-N-Out, and then ate dinner at Mike's place. After a good chat, we all went home.
It was nice to be back in California, it's nice to be back home. :)

Day133.
It's a LVoe day today. I bought my LV Monogram Speedy Idylle 30 in Fusian today at downtown Portland. Hay.
We went to Jack's Crawfish Restaurant at downtown Portland for lunch. I had the Crawfish Etouffe, which had been may ultimate discovery in New Orleans. My Etouffe even had a cooked crawfish with shell on it. It was good, but not as good as the one we ate at Mother's in New Orleans. After lunch, we headed down to Pioneer Place to hunt for my new Speedy. I had been lusting about this new Speedy for months already, and upon getting there, I had to think twice again if I'm getting it. Hell, only if buying a purse was easy! After much ado, I am holding an LV paper bag with my new LV Monogram Speedy Idylle 30. Love!
We then went to Macy's to get clothes for the Hugo kids, and then we went to Starbucks to get the mugs. And then we went back again to Hillsboro, to meet with Richelle, Orly and Keira for dinner. We had dinner at Famous Dave's and the baby back ribs were awesome! I had fun at dinner, and Keira was just to adorable! She even gave me a card that she made!

Day132.
We went to eat lunch today at that same Japanese restaurant that we went to yesterday. I wanted to eat at a Thai restaurant but Hy would rather eat at the same Japanese restaurant rather than eat curry. Oh well. So Hy, Mike and I went to eat some Japanese. I ordered the same Salmon and Eggs combo, together with some Soft Shell Crabs. We also ordered a roll called Angry Dragon Roll for appetizer. Too much food, too much food.
The afternoon went by, albeit sluggishly with all the conference sessions and then we were supposed to go to the conference banquet. However, Tony - Mike's boss, wanted to just go have dinner else where. So we went to Ten-01, a posh fine dining restaurant at downtown Portland. We were there for dinner, and they served us with complimentary appetizers. A praline, coated nut, cream and arugula. Some pretentious appetizer, I must say. It's complimentary anyway, so can't complain. I then ordered from some Veal, while they got Lamb and Duck. Dinner came, and it was pretty good. There was just enough portion to get us filled, but not really super busog. We still had room for dessert. Hy, Tony and I got the Zepolli with Lemon Curd, while Mike had the Chocolate Truffle. The Zepolli is the Italian version of the Beignets. Yummy!
After dinner, we decided to walk off the calories, and we went to Powell World of Books. It was a really huge bookstore. I got 2 books, one book that I forgot the title, and the other was the 10th Sookie Stackhouse book. I'm excited to go home to Folsom and read.

Day131.
I was supposed to go to the site today at 745am. I planned to I swear. However for some reason, my alarm was at 730am, my usual Folsom alarm. Sheesh.
So I called Hy after waking up to tell him I won't be able to make it at 745am. I just told him that to pick me up at lunch. I should have just rented my own car here, so I don't depend on other people for rides. Talk about department cost cutting.
So we had lunch at this Japanese restaurant that I forgot again (shit I'm starting to get really forgetful, bad bad bad), and I had some soft shell crabs and salmon sashimi. And then the afternoon session went by. I am so proud of myself for staying awake for all the afternoon classroom sessions. Maybe I could study again. LOL.
Chris, my boss, paid for dinner at Newport Restaurant. I had some Shrimp and Crab Filled Salmon with Lemon Butter Sauce. I swear I'm going to look like a Salmon already.
Then Mike, Hy and I went to Washington Square to check out the apple store. I wanted to buy an IMAC here to save money with the tax free shopping. I didn't buy yet, I called Southwest if I could hand carry it. They said I cannot. Damn. We looked around at Macy's and Nordstrom for clothes for the Hugo kids. And then we went for dessert at the Cheesecake factory. I barely ate my Red Velvet cheesecake. I am so full, I feel like throwing up right now.

Day130.
I'm in Oregon today. It's my first ever business trip here in Oregon and weather is gloomy. I don't like it here. It's not that Oregon is not nice, it is absolutely beautiful. I'm just not the type of person who can live in Forks. I hate rain. I need my sunshine, even if it's cold. I want bright white sunlight.
First day at work though was good. It was productive with a lot of trainings and sessions. Lunch was pretty good too with some crab cakes.
I had a wonderful dinner today with Richelle, Orly and Keira - their Tagalog speaking 3 year old. She's so cute! I absolutely adore her. And then Mike joined us afterwards for dinner. We went to Thai Elephant for dinner, and as usual, I had my Pad Thai dose. The Tomyum was also good. I had a good time talking to Keira in Tagalog with her diverse vocabulary. If I ever have a kid, I will make sure - kid will speak Tagalog. Even if I get a new dog, I will make sure the dog will understand when I say halika, taas, baba, upo, tayo - like my Creamy.
I had a lot of chili food today. I won't be surprised if I wake up with upset stomach tomorrow. God forbid.

Day129.
My short vacation is over. I should be leaving today for Oregon and my vacation went very fast! It was so much fun nevertheless. We woke up a little late today (pretty early still for my California body clock though), and had breakfast at the Mantaring's. It was a wonderful breakfast of some homemade burritos, beignets that Annie bought from Cafe Du Monde, and some chocolat de cacao. I haven't had that hot chocolate since I was in college when my mom used to make it a home with some coconut milk. It tasted similar to how my mom made, except for the coconut milk part. It was a fun breakfast, and the Mantarings are so welcoming. They made me feel at home, and I even invaded Leslie's room, and slept with Bruno the dog. After breakfast which is kind of a brunch actually, we prepared to drive back to Austin. My flight's leaving from Austin. At around 1, we were on our way to Austin, not after a picture with Bruno. We stop at the deli place which sells good sandwiches for lunch. I forgot the name of that popular place. It's something that's hard to spell. LOL.
And then I was already checking in at around 345pm. It was my first time flying with Southwest, and I didn't know that Southwest had free seating. Hell. Of course, I will always end up seated in the middle this way.
After a stopover in Denver, and rough 5 hours of flying, I am in Portland. I had to take a cab because Hy, who I'm supposed to carpool with, decided to visit his parents in Tacoma. I got to Marriott at 10pm.

Day128.
Here we are at the famous Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. This was our last stop before we started driving back to Houston.
After checking out of the hotel this morning, we walked around to find a place to eat. We were walking around the famous streets of New Orleans and it feels more festive and touristy in the day time. After seeing St Louis Cathedral and the Louisiana Museum facade, we went to eat. I had some Bayou Omelette, with some crawfish on it. I never knew what crawfishes were, George gave me an overview of what those are. Haha. They're actually pretty good. I love seafood in general anyway, so this one's a good addition.
After a hearty brunch, we went around for a bit, went inside the cathedral. And then we had coffee at Cafe Du Monde. The beignets were awesome with a lot of powdered sugar on it! It was pretty addictive.
We were headed to Houston shortly after, and we got there in time for Tita Lorna's Mother's Day dinner. We went to a Japanese place which I also forgot. I really need to start remembering the names of the restaurants that I go to. I salmon sashimi were good, and the rolls were also yummy. And after dinner, George, Annie and I went to have coffee at the Starbucks in Town Square. We made tambay at the Town Square park until midnight. Hay, kakamiss may kasama magkape after dinner!

Day127.
Happy Birthday bitch! Haha, yeah it's my birthday today. And it's New Orleans' Day today. George, Annie and I are driving to New Orleans.
After 9 hours, with 2 hours wasted on traffic at I-10, we were at the Big Easy. It was nice, pretty different. It had a bit of that French/European vibe. We checked in at the Intercon, and then we walked around first at the Harrah's and the walk by the Mississippi River. And then we went to dinner at Mother's Restaurant. It's a popular local restaurant that serves the best ham, po-boys and seafood. We had the combination and the seafood platter. Everything on the plates were so good! Even the fries tasted different, just yummy!
We then went to walk around again, since it was still pretty early to go to Bourbon. We went to check out Cafe Du Monde, but decided to have coffee the next day there instead since we are still so full. We went walking around. The city was quite fascinating. It had that old city feel, a little mystery, a little dark. We stopped by the casino for a bit too. We went back to the hotel for a bit of nap, and then off we went to party. We then went to Bourbon wearing our Mardi Gras beads. George had drinks, Annie had a bit, and I had a sip. I told myself I'm not getting drunk in New Orleans so I didn't drink alcohol. George even saw his old roommate in Bourbon St. It was fun partying there, guys throw beads at girls on the street once the girls had flashed them with their chests. Pretty crazy huh!
It was a fun night, we went to sleep at 3am. I so love Intercon's bed. So nice to sleep in.
This has got to be the best birthday yet. Too bad Adam's not here.

Day126.
The party was a blast. We had too much food, too much cupcakes and now I'm so full. Taba taba. If I could just make myself sleep early to wake up early tomorrow. New Orleans baby! :)

Day125.
I'm in Austin! And to start off my vacation, George and Annie took me to Home Style Pizza. Didn't get the chance to eat there the last time I was here since we were always too full by the time we get there.
My flight was ok. I realized that as I grew older, I am starting to get scared of the most mundane things. Like flying. :) But I got to Austin perfectly fine.
Happy cinco de mayo everyone! :)

Day124.
I made hatid Adam to the airport today. He's gonna be out in Poland for 2 weeks. Too bad he's not here for my birthday. His vacation had been scheduled long before I even met him. Oh well. He gave me a motorcycle helmet for my birthday. I thought the car stereo was already the gift. :)
I'm gonna be out to see Annie and George tomorrow too. I'm flying to Austin. It's going to be fun.

Day123.
It's my last day of work for the week. I'm going on vacation for my birthday. I'm just making excuses to go have a vacation and I'm using my birthday. I'm so freaking stressed with too much work that I need a break! So, last day of work. I also went to dinner with Adam tonight, he's leaving for Poland tomorrow. He's had a tough year, he needs a vacation too. :)

Day122.
I had a wonderful day today with the girls. Thet, Emelyn and I went to the Galleria Mall in my attempt to use my 25% of Coach Store discount. I am so proud of myself that I did not impulse buy. We also checked out the new LV Monogram Idylle Speedy. Hay, a girl can dream right?
